Study tours

If you wish to meet and engage with key people from leading clusters and best performing regions, but are still looking for best practices and contacts, TCI can assist you with finding relevant actors throughout the world and contacting with them.

TCI connects the best expertise with your concrete needs, so that you can learn first-hand and benchmark from best examples.

Peer reviews

TCI Network offers you the possibility to organize or participate in a peer review, a non-paid evaluation performed by a selected group of experienced TCI members. In the course of a practitioner-to-practitioner discussion in 1-2 days, the group reflects about the potential of cluster development in a location and the way to implement concrete programs. A peer review can be carried out on site, by hosting a small delegation of TCI members, or virtually through online platforms.

Contact TCI if you wish to host or participate in a peer review.

Staff exchange

TCI Network offers you the possibility to share your day-to-day activity in advanced teams in similar organizations as yours in another part of the world. It is a unique chance to strengthen your knowledge and partnerships through a short period stay.

Through this staff exchange, TCI brings together well established cluster teams with extensive cluster experience, high responsibility in a cluster program involving multiple partners, and complementary skills and knowledge.

Contact TCI and we will help you to explore the possibilities within the network and liaise with the selected partner.

Mentoring program

The TCI Mentoring Program is aimed at improving the skills and competences in cluster management of our members. It seeks to match experienced cluster managers within the TCI Network (mentors) with cluster newcomers in an early stage of their careers (mentees).

On a regular monthly basis and through online dialogue, our mentors will offer support to mentees looking for guidance in their learning journey to become professional cluster managers.

The service is designed for young cluster managers and individuals working in the area of clusters, competitiveness and innovation. In order to be eligibel you should:

  • work for a cluster-related organization, regional development agency, business network or similar active in the area of clusters, competitiveness and innovation.
  • provide a letter of recommendation from your organization signed by a director/supervisor who supports the menteeship and who certifies that the mentee has at least a two year formal work commitment with the organization.
  • be fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • willing to meet monthly online with your TCI Mentor during the 6-month program.

In order to participate, please fill in the correspondent Mentee application form.

A TCI committee will review the proposals received, accept candidates according to specified criteria, suggest a mentor to the proponent among the proposals received and make the first connection between mentor and mentee. The mentoring relationship between the mentor and mentee is built around a 6-month individual “mentoring agreement” that will state the agreed conditions and expectations.

Please note that participation in the TCI Mentoring Program is an exclusive service for TCI members. Not a member yet? Have a look at the benefits and join our network now!
