200 cluster practitioners participated in the 9th TCI Latin American Cluster Conference held on 14-17 June 2016 in Temuco, Chile on the theme of “Competitiveness, clusters and smart specialization” and hosted by TCI organizational member University of La Frontera.

The 4-day congress offered different forms of participation in various activities:

Day 1: Business Networking Meetings

Day 2: Cluster tours to visit experiences of Chilean clusters, emphasizing learning models of the construction of the territory and of improving the competitiveness of the sectors analyzed.

Days 3 and 4:

Round tables science and technology for development; international cluster experiences; competitiveness and territorial development - local and global impacts; competitiveness and innovation.

Renowned panelists and Chilean and international guest speakers, such as Vicente Fox, former President of Mexico and Luis Felipe Céspedes, Minister of Economy of Chile.
